ITI Network Services is thrilled to have secured Bronze certification in our very first Investors in the Environment audit.
Investors in the Environment (iiE) is a national environmental accreditation scheme. It is designed to help organisations reduce their impact on the environment.
To secure accreditation, organisations must have a credible Environmental Management System, monitor their resource use, and need to plan and achieve improvements in resource efficiency over a baseline figure.
Since we only moved into our new building recently our comparative data covers less than a year, and we're still collecting some baseline data. But we've already achieved several significant goals: we've reduced domestic waste by 86%, implemented many wildlife and CSR activites and introduced several resource efficiency projects which will help contribute to systematic resource reductions.
Our audit report suggests that the actions we have already embedded in our business mean we are well placed to achieve Silver or Green accreditation in our next audit, and adds:
"ITI Network Services Ltd have established a strong foundation for their Environmental Management System (EMS) over the past year. Their Green Champion is enthusiastic and committed to improving the business’s environmental performance...the organisation has already implemented many actions to start improving their resource efficiency." We’re grateful to our Green Champion and all of our team, suppliers and clients for supporting our determination to become an ever-more sustainable business and continually improve our environmental stewardship.
